, Saturday, January 12, 2013, 10:05I have been searching and searching but I just cant find it. Can anyone find me the pattern for this rabbit, please, please, please??? I had a request for a pair of rabbit earings but all these patterns that are out are way to big, this one is small and cute, and I can use it for many projects. Thank you to anyone who helps!

Hello
Are you familiar with Right Angle Weave (RAW) technique for 3D beading? This rabbit is just a standard 5-bead-per-unit ball for the head, the body is the same only in the middle row of the ball you use 6-bead-per-unit. The front legs appear to be just one bead each, the hind legs appear to be 2 beads each. The ears are hard to tell but probably a simple line of 3 beads, the tip being a smaller sized bead. You would add the appendages while building the body....common technique in the countless japanese animal patterns floating around on this site. You can make any RAW project using seed beads instead of bicone crystals, and something like size 11 seed bead would dramatically reduce the finish product's size so that it is suitable for earings.
If you aren't familiar with RAW, Click here for a video link which shows how to make a standard 5-bead-per-unit ball. Use fishing line/monofilament in 8lb instead of the fireline string shown in the video. Make a couple of these balls as practice so you familiarize yourself with the technique. For the head, obviously use 2 black beads for eyes and a pink one for the nose as you build the ball. The body is then this exact same process only in the middle round, the units are 6 beads each. I can't explain adding the appendages, I suggest looking at the patterns click here to get an idea of how appendages are added as you go.
If you aren't interested in figuring it out on your own, I suggest this pattern here. It's a nice beginner pattern of a bunny, perfect for earrings, you could even modify it with legs if that's necessary.

Thank you Ash. I actually am not familiar with any terms what so ever. I am one of those, I see it I do it artists. Painting, ceramics, dancing, even musical instruments are easy to copy by sight or hearing but bead work is different. in person, I can easily copy, but off of pictures, I can't see what is going on well enough. As for terms, I have no clue what I am doing is actually called, I just do it. I will look at the links you left though and experiment with the description you gave and see what I get.
