key chains and cell phone charms

by Kaila @, Friday, December 16, 2011, 13:40

I have a dilemma, and if any of you have an answer that would really save my neck!
OK so, for Christmas I was planning on making everyone beaded key chains and cell phone charms. The problem? They keep falling off. I'm not sure of the REAL way that you're supposed to attach beaded items to little things like that, but right now I put 3 little metal rings together, slip one end onto the key ring or charm, then slip the other directly onto the beaded item. (like, the string in between the beads) I can't close the metal rings far enough so there's always a miniscul gap, just small enough for clear beading thread to slid through. I'm not sure how to fix this problem, because all of the books I have are in Japanese! Any help?:-(
